Sailing the Ice with the Wind:
B-FROST Joins the Windsled Initiative

In spring 2026, an international team of explorers and scientists will cross the remote ice sheet of North Greenland during the North Greenland Windsled Expedition (NGWE 2026).

 

Led by polar explorer Ramón Larramendi, the expedition will travel aboard the Windsled, a wind-powered polar vehicle designed to move across the ice without fuel and with minimal environmental impact.

 

During the traverse, the team will conduct scientific observations and environmental measurements across the Greenland ice sheet.

 

The B-FROST association has been selected to take part in this expedition, contributing to the scientific and educational objectives of the mission.
