Since arriving in Upernavik last week, our days have been focused on preparations: equipment, food supplies, technical checks, and the implementation of scientific protocols.🧪

On Sunday, a first attempt to approach the glacier was interrupted by engine trouble on the hovercraft.

Monday morning, repairs were carried out in wind and snowfall, followed by testing and a new departure. This time, the approach was a real success, and we were able to unload our equipment at the foot of the glacier. 🧊
Last night, we were sleeping in the shadow of a giant, facing the vast North Greenland Ice Sheet. The expedition truly begins now.

It is now possible to follow the progress of the expedition on B-FROST website (best experienced on desktop) 🗺️
